This is One Of My Favorite Computer Accessories under $100

 I've had 2 a few different Monitor lamps these past few years and it's my favorite accessory is the lamplight made by BenQ called BenQ Screenbar Lite E-Reading Monitor Light, LED Laptop Lamp with Auto-Dimming and Hue Adjustment, Matte Black USB Powered Office Lamp (Screenbar Lite_Black) Affiliate Link 

I've gotten 2 BenQ lamps and both of them were great, but recently I found out that there are similar types being sold on amazon for much less. 

This is the Monitor Light Bar, Sonfer Laptop Computer TV Monitor Light with No Glare on Screen for Eyes Care, 3 Color Modes USB-Powered Home Office Desk Lamp, Ideal for Professional Designer/Software Programmer (Aff link) and it costs less than half of what the BenQ lamp does 

This is heavier and longer to the current one but i think it's even bigger than the previous desktop version that I owned. The controls are easy, there's a button to press on the side to turn on or off, and switch them between 3 different light modes, which I have noticed is the same concept with many of these Chinese branded lights, there's 3 different light modes. One is a cool temperature, good for the daytime, one is a regular led light color for maximum brightness, and then there's a warm temperature, that's good for the night time. 

 I think the biggest driving factor for benQ lamps were that they have auto dimming, so whether or not that extra purchase is worth it for you is up to how long you think you'd keep the light on. In other words, if you see yourself needing a light most of the time then this would be the right one for you, although I never used the auto dim feature and didn't see the need with buttons being right in front of you.
